About Clarion Wood Products Beginning
In 1941 a new building was erected in Shippenville and with the help of the Clarion Area Chamber of Commerce, Purinton Pottery moved in. Being a larger manufacturing building, the new Shippenville plant was an extension of the expanding Purinton Pottery Company from Wellesville, Ohio. Many Shippenville employees were sent to Wellesville for training and production began and ran until 1959 when the doors finally closed for Purinton Pottery.
Other local businesses occupied the building until 2022 when local business man, Jason Edmonds and his wife, Tiffany, purchased Clarion Wood Products that is now manufacturing quality hardwoods at the facility.

Meet Owner Jason “Bear” Edmonds
Jason “Bear” Edmonds has deep roots in the Clarion area, having lived and worked there for many years. His love for nature and the natural beauty of Pennsylvania’s forests inspired him and his wife, Tiffany, to purchase Clarion Wood Products in 2022, ushering in a new era for the business.

Employees
Clarion Wood Products has employees that have been in the wood manufacturing business for many years. Even the younger employees gain valuable knowledge from the experience of other employees. The employees (in all positions) are what makes CWP a quality manufacturer.
